Kusahawa Society's national convention starts

The sixth National General Convention, Unity Assembly and Silver Jubilee of the Nepal Kusahawa Welfare Society commenced on Friday here at Dhalkebar of Dhanusa.
The convention to run for two days is being attended by 250 representatives of the Kusahawa society from 13 districts in Tarai – Madhes. The convention will be selecting a 51-member new executive committee.
Inaugurating the convention, lawmaker Shatrughan Mahato said all the political parties must be ready for amending the constitution so as to make it acceptable for all.
The total population of Kusahawa community in Nepal currently stands at around one million, organizers said.
